Kris Jones

Kris started playing at the young age of 11 before going on to study at the prestigious Royal College of Music in Manchester. He was lucky enough to play with some of the most amazing musicians, namely: Bobby Shew, Gerard Presencer, Guy Barker and Victor Mendoza to name but a few. Played lead trumpet with The Cleo Laine Big Band and The Andy Sheppard Big Band in Manchester.

Later in his career, Kris played lead trumpet on the QE2, playing with a plethora of famous jazz and classical musicians for two consecutive years. Kris has also played in various West End touring shows, freelance orchestras and Big Bands.

Currently, Kris is playing and touring with the fantastic Sweet Sweet Lies, a Brighton based band and is also freelancing in London and the South east, playing an eclectic mix of music from folk, big band and pop bands.
