Ben Edwards

Ben Edwards is a UK based trumpet and flugelhorn player. Equally at home on stage as in the studio, Ben works with many high-profile artists & groups in the UK and abroad. He is a founding member of the Atlantic Horns. Ben is an endorsed Eclipse Trumpets Artist and plays exclusively on Eclipse trumpets & flugelhorns.

Ben's playing has taken him the world over. He has performed with Basement Jaxx (including extensive touring supporting Robbie Williams), Amy Winehouse, Dizzee Rascal, Mika, Erasure, Mark Ronson, Hard Fi, Craig David, Spiritualized, Raconteurs, RAMP, Ray Lamontagne, the Disconauts (DJ & live combo), Chris Coco, the James Taylor Quartet, the Quantic Soul Orchestra, the Cuban Brothers, Bonobo, Orson and Nate James. Ben was a featured soloist with Barry Adamson & the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Barbican.

Ben has recorded with artists such as David Gray, Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Amy Winehouse, Spiritualized, Hil St Soul, The Cribs, The Go! Team, Ben & Jason, Natalie Williams, Jimi Tenor and Estelle in studios like Abbey Rd, Strongrooms, Rak and Olympic.

Television appearances include The Royal Variety Show with Gloria Estefan, CD:UK, BBC's Top Of The Pops with Javine & Vanessa Brown, Later with Jools Holland and C4's The Cut with Jo Whiley. Ben has also appeared on ITV's Today with Des & Mel, The Club with Boy George & Judge Jules, The Late Show hosted by Conan O'Brien in New York with Basement Jaxx, NBC's The Tonight Show hosted by Jay Leno with Spiritualized, Transmission & Freshly Squeezed on E4/T4 with Mark Ronson. Ben is featured on TV adverts for Aiwa and Toyota.

Radio work includes sessions for BBC Radio 1 (Gilles Peterson, Jo Whiley & Steve Lamacq shows), Radio 2 (Dermot O'Leary show), 6music, 1Extra and XFM.

Ben has appeared in venues such as Hollywood Bowl in LA, Brixton Academy, Shepherds Bush Empire, Wembley Stadium, London's Hammersmith Apollo, the Jazz Cafe, the Barbican, the Purcell Room, Ronnie Scott's, Tokyo AX, Fillmore West (San Francisco) & Glasgow Barrowlands.
